Agreed. But if nothing else; the Xbone serves as a competitor (however weak the exclusives may be) for the PS4. I have both consoles, and went into this generation with no preconceived biases against either. Of course, anyone with eyes and ears knows that Sony has crushed it this time around....but: A one-horse race is no race. having one company with the monopoly on gaming would not be great for anyone. Competition breeds effort, which spawns greatness.
Not to paint a blatant doomsday scenario,(Disclaimer: This May Never Happen) but... it is a classic business move for a large company to offer a deal that is, at first; a cheap and worthy alternative to the traditional pricing and dealings of their competition. I feel your pain, but that being said; we are living in the age of JB Hi Fi market saturation, Big W, Target and Harvey Norman will all happily price match. I doubt EB games can even lay claim to title exclusivity or any other reason to walk through their doors. Unless this store was out in the middle of nowhere; I'm not quite sure why you'd stand in line for 25 minutes.
Being an avid fan of COD4 online, I have found the only way around getting the dreaded 'one red bar' syndrome, is to fill your friends list with aussies and hope like hell someone on your list has a local match going when you log on. If any Aussies reading this are frustrated with the situation, feel free to join the AKS clan, (aussie kill squad), we are over 150 strong, so all Australians join up and GAME ON!! I find the fact that when someone makes an obviously ludicrous statement regarding an upcoming movie, everyone pays attention and proceeds to wet themselves in a fit of INDIGNANT RAGE...funny as hell.
The comment is so DUMB and OTT that even a LOBOTOMIZED TEST MONKEY should be able to see that it falls into one of three categories;
1. tongue in cheek sarcasm
2. a cheap grab for hype
3. a comment made during a hollywood party, where after several lines of A-GRADE COCAIN...
I would guess that the developers had reasons for canning this....but DAMN!! The animations look FANTASIC!!
